WayBetter Text Messaging Privacy Notice

This notice describes how WayBetter, Inc. handles information for the WayBetter Text Program.

Information we collect

For the Text Program, WayBetter may collect the mobile number used to enroll; the host/program and consent scope selected; the date, time, source, and version of the consent disclosure; IP address and page URL for web-based consent; first name if provided; inbound text and photo replies; message delivery and engagement data; and records of HELP, STOP, START, and other messaging requests.

How we use this information

We use this information to provide the text program the participant requested, deliver host messages and paid-round service messages, process and acknowledge replies, provide secure WayBetter account links, maintain consent and suppression records, provide support, prevent abuse, and comply with legal and carrier requirements.

Mobile information and SMS consent are not shared for marketing

WayBetter does not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Service providers

WayBetter may provide limited messaging information to service providers that process messages, hosting, security, analytics, or support on WayBetter’s behalf. Those providers may use the information only to provide services to WayBetter and not for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Hosts and group participation

Hosts may provide or approve message content, but WayBetter does not provide hosts with participants’ mobile numbers or SMS opt-in/consent records. If a participant replies with text or a photo as part of a WayBetter group program, that reply may be displayed to the participant’s WayBetter group as part of the program experience.

Retention and security

WayBetter retains messaging and consent records as reasonably necessary to provide the service, honor opt-out requests, resolve disputes, and meet legal or compliance obligations. WayBetter uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect this information.
